Problem

Heat exchangers are subject to severe corrosion because of their construction, which usually combines incompatible metals and because of the volume of polluted air passing through them. Corrosion and pollution of heat exchangers will directly affect the performance of the air conditioning system. The heat exchanger must be sealed off from the environment in a manner that will not reduce its heat transferability or cause a pressure drop. When this is accomplished, the cooling capacity will remain intact and energy consumption can be controlled.

The Blygold PoluAL XT coating provides a long lasting corrosion protection to heat exchangers, without affecting heat transfer and pressure drop. The system can be applied in the factory as well as on-site.

The heat conductive pigmentation in the coating is orientated in such a way that it creates a very high chemical resistance at a layer thickness, in combination with the unique application procedures of certfied Blygold applicators  the PoluAL XT is the best available option to prevent air conditioning failure and unnecessary energy consumptions.

PoluAL High Temp

Problem

Fuel combustion and other production processes often result in the exhaust of high temperature gasses. These gasses will not only pollute the environment with their chemical composition but the heat will also cause thermal pollution. To prevent excessive energy loss through the chimney pipes, these gasses must be  chilled. This is accomplished through the use of heat regaining systems that can operate in aggressive conditions. Because temperature, humidity and aggressive chemical concentrations are high, corrosion will rapidly occur on most metals. Sulfur and nitrogen are the main compounds responsible for the initiation and acceleration of corrosion damage.

The flexibility and adhesion qualities of the product make it suitable for on-site application as well as factory application. A special polymer creates a repellent surface that reduces the adhesion of pollution. Air conditioners treated with Blygold Tropic, in combination with a Blygold maintenance program, have been in operation for many years without a capacity loss or high pressure failures.

PoluAl XT MB

Problem

Cooling equipment causes unhygienic problems. The cooling coil is an underestimated source of hygienic contamination. On the heat exchanger surface, one can find bacteria, yeast and molds of all strains. This often occurs when the heat exchangers and the condensation outlets of these units are not regularly cleaned and disinfected.
If they are not treated and subsequently cleaned and disinfected, they can become a constant source of infection. Forced ventilation of contaminated air presents a real danger in the food industry, hospitals, care centers and even in offices. This danger can vary from bad odor to contamination of food.

Blygold PoluAl XT MB is a corrosion resistant coating that is developed for heat exchanger surfaces in hygienically sensitive environments. PoluAl XT MB will improve the quality of the cooled air, prevent bad odors and reduce the adhesion of pollution. The need for cleaning and disinfecting is lessened and aggressive chemicals are not required. To optimize the condition of the Blygold PoluAl XT MB treated heat exchangers, disinfecting with Blygold DEC is recommended.
